Guided Runs - Weekend Breaks Location and Accommodation

Trail Running Sussex offers guided runs along the scenic inspiring trails within the county of Sussex for all abilities.

A weekend running break is a great opportunity to enjoy the countryside with all the running and accommodation arrangements taken care of.

 

The Guided Runs - Weekend Breaks are designed to accommodate the distances, terrain and scenery that you prefer and find most enjoyable. As Trail Running Sussex welcomes runners of ALL abilities, the duration of the runs can be quite variable. Trail Running Sussex therefore offer two Guided Run options; The Trail Running Weekend Break, and for those runners who wish to challenge themselves that little bit more, The Ultra Trail Weekend Break. Please be assured though that once you book your weekend, Trail Running Sussex does not take any other bookings, so there is no need to worry about having to maintain the same pace of other runners, or having to run further or less than you want.

The Guided Runs are tailored for small groups, up to a maximum of four, but typically we guide couples or two friends, although we also welcome runners coming on their own. If your partner or friend is a non-runner, then they are welcome to come as well, and they will only be charged for the B&B costs. All three B&Bs are within close proximity of each other, and are within around a 30 minute drive of Brighton, Eastbourne, and Tunbridge Wells. So there are plenty of touristy/shopping options available within the surrounding area to entertain your non-running friend/partner whilst we are out running.

 

The Trail Running Weekend Break

Arrive Friday afternoon, depart Sunday midday.

Three runs over the weekend, with the longest run on the Saturday.

You decide the duration of the runs, but they are within the range: Friday 40 minutes to 90 minutes; Saturday one and a half hours to three and a half hours; Sunday 40 minutes to 90 minutes.

Total cost for the Trail Running Weekend Break is £195 per runner, (Single person supplement, extra £25) (Non-running friend/partner cost is £95 for 2 nights B&B sharing double/twin room)

 

The Ultra Trail Weekend Break

Arrive Friday afternoon, depart Sunday midday.

Three runs over the weekend, with the longest run on the Saturday.

You decide the duration of the runs, but they are within the range: Friday 60 minutes to 120 minutes; Saturday three hours to six hours; Sunday 60 minutes to 150 minutes.

Total cost for the Ultra Trail Weekend Break is £225 per runner, (Single person supplement, extra £25) (Non-running friend/partner cost is £95 for 2 nights B&B sharing double/twin room)

 

The Guided Run Weekend Break cost includes the following:

  • A weekend of experiencing great trail running, consisting of three trail runs of your choice. (Please note: If you are interested in learning about trail racing, your running guide Stuart Mills, known for his stimulating Trail Running blog titled UltraStu (http://ultrastu.blogspot.com), if requested, is willing to share his training and racing knowledge whilst running along the trails.)
  • Transport to and from the trail run start, (and finish if a point to point trail run), for runs that are not directly from the B&B accommodation
  • Two nights Bed and Breakfast accommodation at one of the three B&B accommodations selected by Trail Running Sussex
  • And a £5 donation per runner to the Sussex Wildlife Trust

 

  • Pick-up and drop-off from/to Lewes or Uckfield Train Station can be provided for an additional £15 per group/individual booking
